Drunk driver who killed cyclist receives sentence

MANHATTAN. Cyclist Eric Ng, 22, was struck and killed in December 2006 when
Eugenio Cidron drove onto the Hudson River Park greenway at Clarkson Street.
Cidron, 28, who was legally drunk, was sentenced Thursday to 3.5 to 10.5
years in prison.

A man who said he mistook a bike path for Manhattan's West Side Highway
and fatally struck a cyclist while driving drunk was sentenced Thursday to

This Sunday marks the 3rd annual Memorial Ride for
cyclists and pedestrians killed by cars in New York
City. Groups will start from different locations and
converge at a City Hall memorial service and rally.

visit crash sites in Brooklyn before converging with

Well, it took me two months but I finally called 311 about these lights.  Last night I headed up the same route and was able to get a better feel for where exactly they were located.  

I called 311 this afternoon to report a bad batch of lampposts in Fort Washington Park (six within a series of eight just north of W155th) and another cluster of dead streetlights on the northbound portion of 9A just south of the "last exit before toll" sign.
